God knows all about us — and loves us anyway

Read Hebrews 4:1-13

"Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account" (Hebrews 4:13).

What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?

All of you reading this who have ever done anything for which you feel ashamed or embarrassed -- raise your hands!!

What, you mean there are some of you who DIDN'T raise your hands??

There's a sobering, yet comforting, fact we need to remember about God: We can never hide from him. It's sobering to know that we can't "fake it" with God about any of our actions and attitudes.

Yet it's also incredible comforting -- it means he knows the whole picture. He knows our motives better than we know them ourselves. He knows exactly what influences and what people have shaped our lives and how. So he, and only he, is able to truly understand any embarrassing or shameful things we've done.

And no matter how down we get on ourselves, no matter how much we feel we've failed, GOD KNOWS ALL THAT AND LOVES US WITH HIS INCREDIBLE, EVERLASTING LOVE ANYWAY!

Never forget that today, no matter what comes your way.
