How amazing: We are part of God’s family and he is with us
Read Hebrews 12:14-29
"You have come to God, the judge of all men, to the spirits of righteous men made perfect, to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel" (Hebrews 12:23,24).
What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?
Can you think of a better way to start or end your day than with this thought: We, as believers, are in the presence of God himself, and members of his "immediate family"!
Many Christian traditions pay close attention to the presence of guardian angels, and the work, nature, and presence of "the saints" -- while making Jesus himself, God the Father, and the indwelling Holy Spirit seem like distant or unapproachable theories. Never forget this: God our Father, through Jesus his Son, and with the daily presence of his Holy Spirit, is right beside us and within us, surrounding us with his presence and filling us with his care.
Our faith is not based on myths or clever stories, but on the reality of daily life in Christ. Think about that when times get rough, and think of the privilege we have to be part of God's own family.
