Sure God forgives our sins — but does He ‘forget’ them, too?

Read Hebrews 8:7-13

"For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more" (Hebrews 8:12).

What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?

I think the most difficult thing for which we ever trust God is the matter of forgiveness. Sure, we accept the Scriptures that tell us he forgives our sins when we confess them and come to him through Christ.

Sure, we tell others we've been saved and forgiven.

But deep down in our hearts, we keep coming back to sins that he has forgiven and revisiting
them again and again, don't we? Or is that just ME??

You see, we humans are set up with minds that are finite and limited. God is infinite and his "mind" unlimited. One of the results, I think, is that our human minds find it hard to both "forgive and forget," while God by his very nature forgets our sins when he forgives them.

That's awesome. That's also pretty cool for us, isn't it?
