Trust God and live by faith — even when you don’t ‘feel’ filled with faith

Read Hebrews 11:1-16

“All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance” (Hebrews 11:13).

What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?

I don’t know about you, but I frequently find it downright HARD to live “by faith.”

Sure God forgives our sins — but does He ‘forget’ them, too?

Read Hebrews 8:7-13

“For I will forgive their wickedness and remember their sins no more” (Hebrews 8:12).

What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?

I think the most difficult thing for which we ever trust God is the matter of forgiveness. Sure, we accept the Scriptures that tell us he forgives our sins when we confess them and come to him through Christ.

We ‘help’ God every time we help someone in need

Read Hebrews 6:1-12

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them” (Hebrews 6:10).

What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?

Personally, I think these verses make a great summary of all that I hold dear about God and my relationship with him through our Lord Jesus Christ.
