Read James 3:13-18
"Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom" (James 3:13).
What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?
To my embarrassment, I have to say this: I've personally known SEVERAL pastors and Bible college instructorswho have been anything but humble and wise.
Now that simply ought not to be. There is absolutely no excuse for a Christian leader of any kind being
arrogant, condescending, or having any sort of "attitude."
Yet it happens. It happens to ALL of us at one time or another as we go through this life -- simply because we are human as well as "partakers of the divine nature" through our relationship with God in Christ.
Which is to say this: Let's all work on it today. May those folks who live in our world see this genuine, godly wisdom, characterized by good deeds done in humility.
Pretty good goal for the day, don't you think?
