You can’t argue anyone into the Kingdom of God — you must show love
Read 2 Timothy 2:14-26
"Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce
quarrels" (2 Timothy 1:7).
What Does This Scripture Mean for Us?
Have you ever argued someone into the Kingdom of God? Ever persuaded a non-believer of the truth and reality of God's love in Christ by the power of your brilliant logic??
Nah, me neither. Saving faith, I think, comes about not from persuasion and because of brilliant, logical arguments. Saving faith comes to someone as they open their hearts and make an act of WILL to accept Jesus and turn their lives over to him.
Don't waste your time arguing with anyone about the truths of the gospel. You'll not persuade them, you'll possibly lose your cool and get angry -- and God really doesn't need your help to push someone into His kingdom.
Simply trust God and show others God's love by your actions and your attitudes as you impact their lives. LOVE 'em into the Kingdom.
